Senior AI-Orchestration Engineer (Consultant)

Overview

The Senior AI Orchestration Engineer is an AI-Native Engineer with a goal to achieve 3x to 5x the development velocity of a standard engineer by using AI agents (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) as your primary production force. You will act as the "Lead Architect" for your AI agents, ensuring that the massive volume of code generated is enterprise-grade, perfectly integrated with our legacy C#/.NET systems, and follows strict Azure security protocols. This is a 3–6 month contract position with the potential for extension based on business needs.

Responsibilities

  • AI-First Execution: Use LLM-based coding agents as the primary driver for feature development, bug fixing, and unit test generation.
  • System Integration: Seamlessly weave AI-generated modules into our existing Azure, .NET Core, and SQL Server architecture, ensuring zero regression.
  • Validation & Auditing: Perform "High-Frequency Code Reviews" on AI output to ensure it meets enterprise standards for security (OWASP), performance (SQL execution plans), and maintainability.
  • Agentic Workflows: Build and refine custom workflows that allow AI tools to understand our specific Angular component libraries and C# design patterns.
  • Rapid Prototyping to Production: Move from a concept to a deployed Azure App Service in hours, not weeks, by bypassing traditional manual scaffolding.

Requirements

While the AI writes the code, you are responsible for the outcome. You must possess:

  • Expert Troubleshooting: The ability to instantly spot a "hallucination" in a complex RxJS stream or a C# LINQ query.
  • Deep Stack Knowledge: Mastery of .NET 8+, Angular 17/18, and T-SQL—you must know the "right" way to do things so you can direct the AI accurately.
  • Architecture Oversight: Knowledge of microservices, dependency injection, and Azure service bus to ensure AI-generated snippets fit into a larger, coherent system.
  • Prompt Engineering Mastery: Proficiency in "Chain-of-Thought" prompting and "Context-Window" management to get high-quality code blocks on the first try.

Success Metrics

  1. Velocity: Demonstrated ability to complete story points at 3x–5x the historical team average.
  2. Code Quality: Zero increase in technical debt or security vulnerabilities despite the accelerated pace.
  3. Integration: AI-generated features must be indistinguishable from (or superior to) manually written enterprise code.
